Light of the Moon
06:59
|
|
||
well I stood at the window
and I looked at the moon
there, with the stillness
in the dark of my room
lost without moving
somewhere in my mind
I blindly go forward
leaving my self behind..
as some kind of transmission
trickles into my ears
like a beam of blue static
drowning out all my fears
surging through all my atoms
like the stars in the sky
lights the way through my shadow
and it opens my eyes
when we come through the portal
where we're much more than men
and we feel we're immortal
like we always have been
moving through this dimension
we are space, we are time
we create the lllusion
we're expecting to find
but maintaining the balance
standing firm in the grey
like the moon that's still with us
in the bright light of day
without trepidation
with our feet on the edge
pulling strings in our theories
hanging on by a thread
all these ways of perception
and the warnings we're fed
can be wings of ascension
or just chains made of lead
words, once for creation
now condemn and dismiss
has our manifestation
been reduced into this?
we can make a decision
to align with our will
turn off the television,
now it's making you ill
or we can close the shutters,
keep the light from our rooms,
turn our eyes toward the darkness,
and not dream with the moon.

Compass & Chart

some days it seems like I'm treading water just to stay afloat
If I could only pick one direction, maybe I'd reach shore.
there on the beach for a moment I thought I could see myself-
Only a trick of the light although it seems where I should be.
some kind of magic inside these rhythms shows me where to go,
I only wonder sometimes if I can follow these musicians.
It's a cacophony to my ears, I fear I can't keep up
with all the melodies in my head that drown out all the world.
I'm slowly learning to trust my instincts, learning what they are.
Of all the voices that guide me only one holds my best interest.
a little patience is maybe all I need to hear the calling
and if it's tempered with good intention, maybe I'll let go.

What Eye Hear
05:37
|
|
||
I think I hear it beckon
somewhere far above the noise
and the din of all I hear
all I hear
I can't escape the feeling
like I did those times before
just a part of who I am
who I am
I can't describe the wanting
of a thing I never had
just a sign of what I'm not
what I'm not
And as the mask is peeling
that I've used to scare myself
just a skin of what I was
what I was
And now the fog is clearing
where I used to run and hide
just a shell where I once lived
where I lived
Now when I reach for something
but no longer care how far
just a way I tried to fail
tried to fail
Now where the signs are pointing
and the light shines on my path
just a road out of my past
from my past
It's time to hear the calling
that I tried hard to ignore
just a trick to lose control
lose control

the Call
03:49
|
|||
I've been leaning on the windowpane,
and I'm staring through the frozen glass.
with the future reaching for my back-
as I'm looking deep into the past.
I wonder can I get it out of me?
(ask my reflection on the subway train)
-but not the others on the city streets
as I walk home through the pouring rain.
along the shores of a northern beach
while walking in the ocean air,
I thought I heard the waves beckoning
though I was certain no ones there..
I'm getting pulled out by the undertow,
the sea is swallowing up all the sound.
-except the siren, I can hear her call
her song is gently ringing all around.
I brought her message from the underground,
and tried to spread it to the surface life.
but it seems nobody's listening-
should I retire to the endless night?
into the safety of the waning moon,
blanketed under a veil of stars,
are there others who can hear the tune?
I'm here and waiting, tell me who you are.

Body Count Chocula
04:41
|
|
||
late at night he brings the treat
melts in your mouth, so sickly sweet
comes to drink your plasma dry
and leaves you something else inside…
through the window like a chocolate bat
with a tasty surprise for all you spoiled brats
one by one they fall under his spell
to an immortal life inside a GMO hell
…careful with your children -
hide them…from the Count
under the moon, his minions soar
to search for hungry little children and bring the Count more
bringing them modified corn syrup dreams
and a deep dark desire to join in his schemes
with a marshmallow pillow takes their breath away
to where they never again see the light of day
he's no longer happy with the kiddies from the store
tonight, while you sleep - he's coming after yours…
…careful with your children -
hide them….from the Count

Blame
06:39
|
|
||
The things we say the ways we do
so often end up misconstrued
our actions leave our thoughts betrayed
perceptions fail the words we say
Instead of searching for the blame
can we be different and the same?
hurts not all that we should feel
if anything is going to heal
